Congratulations to the Class of 2020!!

Many of you may have seen the RTE news footage of our Coláiste Bríde girls celebrating what was an amazing set of results overall for the school.  We were delighted to welcome back students and showcase our new art installations in honour of their graduation symbol the Cherry Blossom (CB).

Students were generally very happy overall to have the weight of expectation lifted off their shoulders and look forward to their next steps on their life journeys.  Congratulations too are due to their parents and families.  We look forward to hearing what courses the girls have secured through the CAO or through Further Education Colleges or Post Leaving Certificate courses (PLC’s) which give a huge range of opportunities.

Our top results were among the top in all of Ireland with 2 students achieving maximum points of 625 – an incredible achievement that is only ever reached by a small number in Ireland.

We had students receiving Distinctions and Merits both in our Leaving Certificate Applied and Leaving Certificate Vocational Programmes; again reflecting the high quality of teaching and learning that is provided here in Coláiste Bríde.

Our overall results were of an extremely high standard with nearly 50 students securing over 400 points – this reflects the high standards and our commitment to improvement and growing our numbers moving to 3rd level education.

We wish all our students every success and invite them to continue their relationship with us by returning as past pupils to talk to the next generation of CB students about their college experience etc., to be role models in the Clondalkin community and beyond.

Is mise le meas,

Marie-Thérese Kilmartin
