As with most things right now, our uniform supply shop, The School WearHouse has had to adjust their services due to Covid 19.  When they are allowed to reopen, it will be with restrictions in place.  They will have to restrict the number of customers in store at any one time, shut down frequently to allow for deep cleans of the premises, all of which will lead to longer queues and wait times.

With this in mind, they are strongly encouraging parents to shop online if at all possible.  Our full uniform is available to order online, with free delivery for all orders over 75e.  Please click HERE to read their statement in full and go to to order your new school uniform.

Parents are reminded that items are no longer permitted to be dropped off at school reception for students. This includes lunch boxes, travel cards, deliveries, etc. For health and safety reasons our administration team cannot be handling such items. We thank you for your understanding.

Parents Council Needs Your Help!!!!

Our Parents Council are holding a Bingo fundraising event on Thursday April 11th in the Round Towers GAA club in Clondalkin.  The proceeds from this event will be used to fund the school bursary, which is offered to our outgoing 6th year students every year to help cover some of their college expenses.

It's always a great night but we do need help to make it a success! If you would like to donate either your time on the night or some prizes to boost our winnings that would be great.  If you are a local business you may wish to sponsor a game or donate prizes.  We would grately appreciate all and any support we can get.

If you are interested please contact us by email at

Many thanks!

Online Safety - arm yourself with knowledge!!

Here are Coláiste Bríde we are committed to Digital Citizenship for our whole school community, including parents.  The internet can present us with some challenging scenarios when it comes to monitoring our teenagers online activity.  We found this guide from Irish organisation Webwise particularly helpful.  It is full of practical tips and advice regarding you and your family's online presence and safety.  Please click on the link below to read the guide in full.

Be Online Safety Aware!!

Online safety is an issue that we take very seriously in Coláiste Bríde as you know and each year we host an information session for parents as well as regularly addressing our students and each year being addressed by our local Community Gardai too.

We have recently discovered there may be students/others setting up fake Facebook profiles of staff.  This is a most serious matter and is reported to the Gardai.  Be assured that as a school and as staff members we do not request friends on Facebook with students, this is not used by the school and is indeed blocked.  If you ever come across this matter please report it immediately as the school treats this most seriously.

It has also come to our attention more and more that students are putting themselves into danger by posting photos and videos of themselves naked and/or semi-naked on their social media sites.  Essentially this is child pornography, is inappropriate, is dangerous and we urge parents to speak with their daughter/s re online safety.

Students are not aware of the dangers and where their images may end up around the world.  We advise parents to seek advice.  Consult websites such as and

We generally advise students of the "Granny Rule" re internet safety and appropriate online behaviour -

"Would your Granny be happy to see/read that?"

We urge you to please take this issue seriously and take the necessary action to protect your daughter!
