Our CEIST Values
Coláiste Bríde is a member of CEIST (Catholic Education – Irish Schools Trust), which oversees a network of voluntary Catholic secondary schools in Ireland. These schools were founded by the Daughters of Charity, the Presentation Sisters, the Sisters of the Christian Retreat, the Sisters of Mercy, and the Missionaries of the Sacred Heart. CEIST’s mission is to provide a values-driven education rooted in the Catholic tradition, inspired by the teachings of Jesus Christ.
At the heart of CEIST schools is a commitment to holistic education that supports the intellectual, spiritual, and personal growth of students. CEIST promotes Gospel-based values such as faith, hope, love, justice, compassion, and peace, which guide both the curriculum and daily practices.
CEIST schools emphasise community, where students and staff collaborate in a supportive environment. Through teaching, learning, and spiritual formation, CEIST schools aim to build compassionate, just, and inclusive societies, living the fullness of life promised by Christ.
With a focus on academic excellence, personal growth, and Christian values, CEIST schools continue to honour the legacy of their founding congregations, ensuring each school remains a living testament to their shared mission.
