At Coláiste Bríde, we promote environmental awareness and sustainability through our Green Schools programme. Recognised with ten Green Flags, we focus on themes like litter, energy, water, travel, biodiversity, and global citizenship. Our Green Schools Committee implements eco-friendly practices and educates students on environmental stewardship. We also maintain an organic garden for hands-on learning. By participating in initiatives like climate strikes, travel surveys, and recycling programmes, we aim to positively impact our community and the planet.
In 2025, we are focusing on pollinators and their vital role in biodiversity. Our team of students and staff engages in activities like planting pollinator-friendly gardens and educating peers about pollinators. We aim to inspire positive environmental action within and beyond our school.
"Humanity is now standing at a crossroads. We must now decide which path we want to take. How do we want the future living conditions for all living species to be like?"
- Greta Thunberg
